Paying:

Scenario 1: Bargaining at a Street Market

Customer:
이거 얼마예요? (Igeo eolmayeyo?) – How much is this?

Vendor:
15,000원입니다. (Sipmanocheon won-imnida.) – It’s 15,000 won.

Customer:
조금 더 싸게 해 주세요. (Jogeum deo ssage hae juseyo.) – Can you make it a little cheaper?

Vendor:
그럼 13,000원에 드릴게요. (Geureom sipsamman won-e deurilgeyo.) – Then I’ll give it to you for 13,000 won.


Scenario 2: Shopping at a Department Store
Customer:
다른 색상이 있나요? (Dareun saeksangi innayo?) – Do you have this in another color?

Staff:
네, 이쪽에 있습니다. (Ne, ijjoge itseumnida.) – Yes, it’s over here.

Customer:
감사합니다. 카드로 결제할게요. (Gamsahamnida. Kadeuro gyeoljehalgeyo.) – Thank you. I’ll pay by card.
