  • 회사 (hoesa) – Company
  • 직장 (jikjang) – Workplace
  • 동료 (dongnyo) – Colleague
  • 상사 (sangsa) – Supervisor
  • 회의 (hoeui) – Meeting
  • 업무 (eomu) – Task

[2: Useful Phrases ]

Introducing Yourself:

  • '안녕하세요. 저는 [이름]입니다.' (Annyeonghaseyo. Jeoneun [name]-imnida.) – Hello, I’m [name].
  • '만나서 반갑습니다.' (Mannaseo bangapseumnida.) – Nice to meet you.
  • '새로 온 직원입니다.' (Saero on jigwon-imnida.) – I’m a new employee.

Making Small Talk:

  • '어느 부서에서 일하세요?' (Eoneu buseoeseo ilhaseyo?) – Which department do you work in?
  • '좋은 하루 되세요!' (Joeun haru doeseyo!) – Have a good day!

Scenario: Introducing Yourself

You:
안녕하세요. 저는 [이름]입니다. 새로 온 직원입니다.
(Annyeonghaseyo. Jeoneun [name]-imnida. Saero on jigwon-imnida.) – Hello, I’m [name]. I’m a new employee.

Colleague:
반갑습니다. 저는 김민수입니다. 어느 부서에 계세요?
(Bangapseumnida. Jeoneun Kim Min-su-imnida. Eoneu buseoe gyeseyo?) – Nice to meet you. I’m Min-su Kim. Which department are you in?

You:
마케팅 부서에 있습니다.
(Maketing buseo-e itseumnida.) – I’m in the marketing department.

Colleague:
아, 그렇군요. 잘 부탁드립니다!
(A, geureotgunyo. Jal butakdeurimnida!) – Oh, I see. I look forward to working with you!
